ISL’s staff have a wide range of experience in commercial and contractual management and in disputes resolved through mediation, adjudication, arbitration and litigation. ISL’s core strengths include its hands-on practical experience of the NEC 3 Contract and of mediation and adjudication both in Hong Kong and the UK.
From its office in Hong Kong, ISL is ideally located to serve both the local markets in Hong Kong, Macau, and mainland China as well as the adjoining markets including Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Philippines and South Korea. ISL also operate throughout the UK in association with Patronus Consulting Ltd.

A Chartered Quantity Surveyor with over 38 years’ experience in the construction industry, over 20 of which has been spent on the contracting side. Mike has in-depth and considerable hands-on experience in the presentation and defence of contractual claims.
Experience with Building, Civil and Process Engineering standard forms of contract, with seats of law spanning England, Scotland, Hong Kong and Macau, acting for and on behalf of Employers, Contractors, Sub-Contractors and Consultant Teams in both Private and Public Sectors alike.
He has acted as Assistant Mediator in the UK and Assistant to Quantum and Planning Experts in respect of both mediation and adjudication in Hong Kong. He also has considerable experience of dispute resolution through adjudication under the UK HGCR Act 1996 having been involved in a high profile case involving six separate adjudications leading to hearings at the TCC and the Court of Appeal.
Richard is a Director of Insite Solutions with over 25 years in the Quantity Surveying sector of the Construction Industry through out the United Kingdom and Asia-Pacific region. Richard has been based in Hong Kong since 1997 and is a permanent resident of the HKSAR.
Experienced in a diverse range of sectors, such as infrastructure, tunnelling, aviation, transport, energy and commercial, Richard brings a wealth of experience to any project or contractual issue he’s involved in.
